About Dr Kaplan:

• Dr. Kaplan graduated from Tufts university in 1978 and received his DMD degree in 1982 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.


• 1983 ~ Completed a fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Long Island Jewish Hillside Medical Center.
• 1986~ Completed a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburg, Pa.
• 1986 ~ Moved to Rhode Island & entered into private practice.
• 1987-1989 ~ Clinical instructor in the Department of OMFS at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
• 1989 - 1991 ~ Staff Associate in the Implant Research Department at Forsyth Institute.
• Mid 1990's ~ Interim Director of the Division of OMFS at Roger Williams Medical Center.
• 1996 ~ Diplomat Status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
• 2011 through 2023 ~ Received the "Rhode Island Monthly Top Dentist" awarded in his specialty of OMFS.

Dr. Kaplan has been published in various professional journals and lectured on various topics within his field. Dr Kaplan is currently on staff at Roger Williams Medical Center, and is an active member in the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons; Rhode Island Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons; American Dental Association, Rhode Island Dental Association; and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Meet the Staff

Our Surgical Staff is Faridis, Mel and Christina.

The surgical staff that works closely with Dr Kaplan is highly trained and experienced.

Patients are closely monitored during and after surgery to ensure the highest level of safety and comfort. It may be just a friendly hand to hold during your procedure but our warm and professional staff always takes the extra step to provide a genuinely caring environment for our patients.

Our Administrative Staff is Christina, Kim, and Tracy.

The administrative staff's goal is to ensure all patients feel comfortable and knowledgeable with regards to surgical procedures, insurance and financial information, and concerns regarding your upcoming procedure.
